How much good can we pack into 24 hours? Goodstock™ was created in 2004 as a cool way for our advertising agency to give back to non-profits in our beloved community. Our idea was to create as many great pieces of advertising and marketing as humanly possible in just 24 hours. Seven years later, KW2 has donated $1.8 million in goods and services to over 80 non-profits around Madison, Wisconsin. For the last two years, advertising agencies in Charlotte, Toronto and Vancouver have also adopted Goodstock™ in their communities. With those agencies, over $2.2 million has been donated.

How much good can we pack into 3 days? KW2, the Joy Trip Project and a network of communications experts will be working together to create marketing and advertising tools for non-profits—from concept to delivery—in just 3 days! And we'll be doing it all at the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market in August 2012. Other surprises are being planned as well.

Not only will we be creating the tools that non-profits need, we'll educate them along the way—helping them in making the world a little bit better, nicer and sparklier.

How does it work?

Environmental Goodness

Well, it works like this Chooses a non-profit your organization would like to support. KW2 will work with them to chose what advertising or marketing would be created with your budget. We provide an extra 50% in time per donation, not including out-of-pocket expenses, although we can work to secure non-profit discounts or donations for these expenses as needed. Then at Outdoor Retailer 2012, we’ll literally create the work the non-profits need, at the trade show, live.

Knupp & Watson & Wallman (KW2) is a full service advertising agency located in Madison, Wisconsin. Yes, that Madison, one of the top 10 finalists for Outdoor Magazine’s best town ever award. We’re the home of John Muir and Aldo Leopold, surrounded by bike trails, lakes, and wonderful social consciousness up the yin yang.

This is our 25th year in business. Since day one, we’ve been working hard at social marketing for public initiatives that have helped the environment, road safety, children and families. We like to say that our company’s social marketing and non-profit work has probably affected more Wisconsinites' lives than any other agency in Wisconsin. We’ve become incredibly good at working with state agencies and not-for-profits by filling in their strategic and creative communications gaps.
